Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an Quality Assurance Engineer
- 4+ years of experience leading a team in an Agile/SCRUM framework
- 2+ years managing a Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering team or large-scale projects
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use: Effective communication and documentation skills
- Experience growing and mentoring others
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and mentor a distributed team of skilled Quality Assurance Engineers in an Empowered SCRUM methodology, helping them to grow their careers and achieve maximum potential
- Develop, implement, and maintain best practices and processes for Quality Engineering and Automation including methodologies, measurements, and reporting
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, Product Management, Quality Engineering, and the Engineering organization to address consumer needs and meet business goals
- Create and foster an environment of teamwork, open communication, ownership, and accountability managing multiple engineering projects
- Set team and individual goals, align those to business goals, and ensure that they are executed to completion on time and with high quality
- Provide routine reporting to relevant stakeholders on the performance and costs of the Automation Team
- Define, track, and act on health metrics and roll those up to the corporate scorecard to ensure visibility and ongoing improvement
- Make key technical decisions on quality tools and processes and provide guidance on key platform decisions, including procurement of third party solutions or proposal of development of in-house solutions
- Be proficient and capable of supporting the teams in a hands-on capacity, develop test plans, and facilitate the speedy and stable deployment of our products at high quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience testing native mobile apps built on Java / Kotlin / Swift, web apps, APIs, and custom built internal tools
- Knowledge and experience implementing testing strategy, test planning, internal testing tools development, and quality solutions within e-commerce tech stacks
