Quality Inspector - Cable And Wire Harness - Level 2

Summary

Join our team as a part-time Quality Inspector with full-time potential, working with a leading aerospace company. You will be part of a global inspection team, conducting visual inspections and paperwork verification at supplier locations in the greater OC/LA area. Responsibilities include detecting defects on complex products, verifying documentation, and ensuring rework quality. This position requires 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience, knowledge of various inspection tools and methods, and experience with IPC-610 and PCBA. The hourly rate is $30-$33, with additional compensation for travel time and mileage reimbursement. US Citizenship and background checks are required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience
• Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools and methods
• Experience with IPC-610 and PCBA is required
• Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
• US Citizenship is also a requirement and background checks are required

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and paperwork verification at our client's supplier(s) in the greater OC/LA area
• Detect defects on highly complex products
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity-specific standards and classify defect types
• Verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection
• Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cables & Harnesses and IPC-620 a plus
• Experience with GD&T, and precision measuring tools a plus

Benefits

• $30 - $33 an hour
• Hourly rate while on site or working remotely (i.e. completing or modifying reports)
• Minimum 4 hours per day if deployed (i.e. "4 hour minimum")
• 50% hourly rate for any travel time (i.e. "p2p")
• Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($ 0.655 per mile driven). Untaxed
