Quantitative Developer Intern

Summary

Join Point72 Internal Alpha Capture (IAC) as a quantitative developer intern for Summer 2025 and gain exposure to various activities, including enhancing research platforms, optimizing data pipelines, and improving trading tools.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or other quantitative discipline
• Strong programming experience in Python with production-level coding quality
• Experience with Unix environment and shell scripting
• Experience with cloud computing, ideally AWS and Databricks
• Experience with numerical Python libraries (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, PyTorch, etc.)
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and software CI/CD tools and lifecycle
• Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Enhancing quantitative research platforms by benchmarking and integrating in-house and cloud technologies
• Optimizing data ETL pipelines, persistent/in-memory caches, and SQL databases
• Improving research and trading tools and infrastructure
