Ransomware Research Intern in United States

Summary

Recorded Future is the world’s largest intelligence company with over 1,000 intelligence professionals and serving over 1,800 clients worldwide. They are seeking a creative and motivated intern to join their team this winter to help with a ransomware research project. The intern will work with journalists and threat intelligence analysts to collect data on ransomware attacks, maintain a running feature on ransomware trends, and support other ransomware-focused research projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills
• Excellent communication
• Experience conducting thorough research
• Able to build spreadsheets and charts
• Exposure to/understanding of cybersecurity concepts

Responsibilities

• Work with journalists and threat intelligence analysts to collect data on ransomware attacks
• Collect ransomware data from the Recorded Future platform, open source research, and by filing FOIA requests
• Help update and maintain a running feature on ransomware trends
• Support other ransomware-focused research projects as needed
