RCDD/Telecom Technical Specialist

Summary

The job description is for a RCDD/Telecom technical specialist at Larson Design Group, a 100% employee-owned Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting Firm. The position involves designing data/voice, electronic security, and audio-visual systems for various projects.

Requirements

Possesses knowledge of codes and standards such as BISCI TDMM, TIA, UFC and current design practices applicable to design of projects

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals
• Develop detailed designs from conceptual design through construction documents for structured cabling systems, including data, voice, audio/visual, and security systems
• Performs initial QA/QC review of project submissions
• Develops schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates
• Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors & omissions
• Performs and checks design calculations, technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates
• Develops and maintains design budgets for complex scopes of work

Preferred Qualifications

CTS-D and/or cybersecurity certification (CISSP/CISM, etc.) is desired but not required
