Requirements

• Overall experience of 5 years and minimum of 3 years of experience in managing Redis in production environments
• Strong understanding of Redis architecture, data types, and replication mechanisms
• Experience with high availability setups, such as Redis Sentinel or Redis Cluster
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation of tasks and processes
• Knowledge of network and data security practices
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques for Redis
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality work
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Redis servers and clusters across various environments
• Monitor performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues affecting Redis performance and availability
• Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities through effective clustering and replication strategies
• Apply security measures, including network access controls and data encryption, to protect sensitive information
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize data access and caching patterns for application performance
• Automate routine administrative tasks to improve efficiency and reliability of Redis operations
• Keep up to date with Redis releases and technologies, applying updates and patches to maintain system security and performance
• Develop comprehensive documentation on system configurations, procedures, and best practices for Redis administration
• Provide technical support and guidance to development teams and other stakeholders on Redis usage and optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Redis certification
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with other database technologies and NoSQL stores
