Regulatory Affairs Manager

Join Planet and be a part of our mission to change the way people see the world. As a Regulatory Affairs Manager for Planet, you will be responsible for satellite and ground station licensing (ITU, FCC, NOAA, and countries outside the US where relevant) and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
• 4+ years of previous satellite licensing and/or policy experience
• Experience reading and interpreting regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Experience with problem-solving and working with people of all levels
• Advanced experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Sheets/Excel and Slides/PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepare domestic and international regulatory licensing documents
• Assist with the drafting and review of internal processes and procedures for license compliance
• Prepare and conduct regulatory compliance trainings for employees
• Align with engineering, launch and manufacturing teams on necessary inputs for regulatory licensing and spectrum coordination
• Draft and prepare filings for government agencies, including license applications, regulatory notifications, scheduled reporting, and rulemaking comments
• Record-keeping retention and organization
• Analyze proposed new laws and regulations for implications to Planet’s global business
