Remote Application Software Developer, .NET Core, React Azure

We are seeking a skilled Software Development professional to join our team in designing, developing, and maintaining applications for one of Australia's largest specialist medical colleges. As a key member of our IT Applications Manager team, you will work closely with others to translate requirements into functional code and continuously improve applications to meet evolving user needs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Software Development experience
• Experience with C#, .NET Core, React, React Native, Next.js, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery
• Solid experience with Azure (Azure cloud services specifically Azure Functions, App Services, Blob Storage, etc.), Azure integrations services including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus and Azure API Management
• Azure DevOps - CI/CD (Experience in DevOps practices such as CICD, automation, infrastructure as code and monitoring)
• Azure B2C Identity and Access Management
• Microsoft platforms and productivity tools including MS Power Platform
• SQL Server and Azure SQL including data extractions and reporting in SSRS and Power BI
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, TDD, BDD & test automation

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining applications
• Working closely with others to translate requirements into functional code and continuously improving applications to meet evolving user needs
• Preparing and/or reviewing technical documentation, considering architectural and programmatic aspects of the solution
• Developing and/or configuring systems per best practice
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members
• Communicating and engaging with stakeholders across ITS and the business
• Liaising with vendors, partners, and third-party service providers for delivery and support
• Following appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for application coding, documentation, and code management
• Providing application support for the company products and services as per SLAs
• Providing on-call or after-hours support for systems and services as and when necessary
• Monitoring the performance and availability of systems, promptly identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure business continuity
• Creating and maintaining support documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to empower users and streamline support processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building mobile apps (Apple and Android) for online & offline use, utilising APIs, real-time push notifications
• Experience in application modernisation of older .net Applications to Cloud Native Services
• Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and security protocols
