Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience administering an FAA-regulated drug and alcohol testing program
  • Experience acting as a Designated Employer Representative (DER) for a safety-sensitive workforce employer including communication with government agencies
  • Experience managing pre-employment screening vendors of background check and drug and alcohol testing services
  • Extensive knowledge and application of 49 CFR Part 40 and 14 CFR Part 120 drug and alcohol program testing requirements
  • Experience with 14 CFR Part 111 Pilot Record Database use/record requirements
  • Experience with the Google Suite and training records management tools
  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with detail orientation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with FAA Part 135 personnel requirements, primarily through data entry and digital record keeping
  • Administer Wing's drug and alcohol testing program and act as the Designated Employer Representative (DER)
  • Work with pre-employment screening vendors and Drug & Alcohol Testing service-providers to verify background checks, pre-employment drug screens, and other required checks to ensure compliance
  • Communicate with external parties needed for Part 135 record retrieval and verification, including all previous DOT (Department of Transportation)/FAA related employment checks
  • Serve as Wing's point of contact with the FAA on all Drug and Alcohol Program needs and help maintain compliance for our Drug and Alcohol Policy (DAP)
  • Partner to complete required FAA reporting, including Management Information Systems Report (MIS), and FAA and Drug Abatement audits
  • Execute random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident tests in alignment with Flight Operations schedules
  • Keep Part 135 personnel folders & tracker updated with any additional forms and documents throughout safety-sensitive employment
  • Maintain on-call status and availability to resolve drug and/or alcohol related issues as they arise, including off duty when needed
  • Assist with Part 135 compliance postings onsite at operating locations
  • Partner with Flight Operations & People Operations teams to identify and mitigate risks of current processes and methods
