Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience in budget or financial analysis
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics
• Proficiency in financial management tools and systems, with a strong understanding of budgeting processes and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders at various levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a strong focus on Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines

Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage financial data related to space program budgets, ensuring compliance with organizational and federal financial regulations
• Prepare detailed budget forecasts, reports, and financial statements to track spending, monitor trends, and make recommendations for resource allocation
• Support space program operations by providing insights on cost analysis, financial planning, and budget execution
• Conduct financial evaluations of program expenditures, including assessing the cost-benefit of various initiatives and projects
• Ensure that all financial documentation and reporting meet the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness
• Work closely with program managers and other stakeholders to provide financial expertise, ensuring alignment of budgets with operational goals
• Identify and resolve budget discrepancies, assisting with audits and compliance reviews as necessary
