Remote Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join us as an Engineer at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions and contribute to the development and operation of a hyper-scale public cloud. You will work on expanding and upgrading our hardware architecture, automate processes with common frameworks, and collaborate with a team of specialists.

Requirements

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training
• 3-5 years of professional experience in multi-cultural IT with a focus on various cloud and data centers
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization servers, security and networking hardware
• Strong senior experience in Linux, security, and network-related services
• Deep practice in any Cloud environment
• High level of customer focus
• Knowledge of agile development processes
• Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with new creative solutions
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the structured expansion and upgrading of our hardware under hyper-scaler conditions
• Be a trusted advisor for public cloud technology
• Consistently automate with common automation frameworks (ansible puppet chef)
• Get your hands 'dirty' without reservations
