Squad Lead, Total Loss

Join Lemonade as a highly skilled leader to manage and develop a team of claim advocates specializing in total loss, theft, and fire claims. You will oversee a motivated group of advocates as they process claims, manage, develop, and execute on all matters efficiently, surpassing customer expectations. Guide, mentor, develop, and manage a team; assist in handling claims, addressing customer escalations, and explaining coverage decisions; drive team performance using data; lead regular team huddles and engage the remote team; track and report performance metrics; provide consistent feedback. The role requires extensive experience in auto claims, including total loss and salvage management, theft and fire claims, and leadership experience managing auto adjusters. A BA degree in a related field, expertise in SIU claim handling, proficiency in Mitchell and Copart, experience with national auto service vendors, and an adjuster's license are also needed. Requirements

• 6+ years of auto claims experience, specializing in Physical Damage claims-handling
• 3+ years handling total loss claims and salvage management
• 3+ years handling theft and fire claims
• 2+ years in a leadership role managing a team of auto adjusters
• BA Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• Expertise in SIU claim handling
• Proficiency in Mitchell and Copart
• Experience working with large national auto service vendors
• Licensed as an Auto Adjuster in any state, preferably CA and TX

Responsibilities

• Guide, mentor, develop, and manage a team of advocates
• Assist in handling claims, including addressing customer escalations and explaining coverage decisions
• Drive team performance using data to align on the biggest areas for improvement
• Lead regular team huddles on Zoom and engage your remote team via Slack
• Track and report performance metrics and team KPIs, using insights to inform future priorities
• Provide consistent, thoughtful, tangible, in-the-moment feedback to direct reports and peers to boost growth and performance

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $95,000 + equity + benefits
