Job description

Job Title: Co-Founder & Robotics Technician (Remote, Part-Time, Sweat Equity)

Company: Confidential / Stealth

Overview: We are a pre-revenue startup on the cutting edge of a new frontier. As humanoid robots prepare to enter homes and businesses in the near future, we’re getting in early to build a nationwide robot maintenance and repair platform. Our focus is on humanoid robots and small service robots, and we’re setting ourselves up to be the go-to service provider when these robots start shipping in mass. This is a unique opportunity to get involved in a rapidly expanding industry early and help shape the future of robot service.

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for a Co-Founder & Robotics Technician to be the technical leader of our team. This role is ideal for someone who already has another job or income source but wants to contribute part-time to an exciting venture in exchange for sweat equity. You can be based anywhere in the U.S.—remote work is totally fine as long as you’re able to collaborate when needed. If you have startup experience, a successful exit, or cash-raising experience, that’s a huge plus.

Why This Opportunity is Exciting:

  • Get in early: Be part of an industry poised for massive growth before humanoid robots hit the mass market.
  • Flexible, part-time role: Perfect for someone with another job or personal commitments who wants to work part-time on the side in exchange for equity.
  • Remote-friendly: You can work from anywhere in the U.S. while being part of a founding team that’s building something big.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development of repair and maintenance services for humanoid and small service robots.
  • Create training and certification processes for a network of freelance technicians across the country.
  • Build relationships with robot manufacturers to keep our services aligned with the latest robotic technologies.
  • Provide top-level technical troubleshooting for complex repair cases.
  • As a co-founder, contribute to business strategy and help drive the company’s growth and direction.

Qualifications:

  • Robotics Technician or Engineer with hands-on experience in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotic systems (humanoid robots or small service robots a plus).
  • Startup experience highly valued, particularly if you’ve been part of a successful exit or have raised capital for an early-stage company.
  • Financial independence or another source of income is required, as this is a part-time, sweat equity role.
  • Passionate about robotics, with a strong vision of where the industry is headed, especially as humanoid robots become widespread.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in robotic diagnostics and repair.

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

  • Cash raise experience: If you’ve successfully raised capital for a startup, that’s a major asset.
  • Exit experience: Experience contributing to a startup that exited successfully (e.g., acquisition, IPO) is a big plus.

Why Join Us?

  • Equity opportunity: Earn equity in a pre-revenue company with a service-based equity structure (five-year vesting schedule with a one-year cliff).
  • Shape the future: Help us build a company that will be a key player in the humanoid robot service industry.
  • Part-time, remote work: Perfect for someone who wants to work on this venture on the side, no need to leave your current job.
  • Confidential opportunity: Company name will remain private until we’re ready to reveal it publicly.
