Remote Cryptographic Software Engineer (C/C++)

Requirements

• Proficiency in C/C++
• Experience or knowledge in building RPM packages
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and cybersecurity concepts
• Experience with AlmaLinux, CentOS Stream, or RHEL
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
• High attention to detail and ability to work with technical documentation
• A passion for writing and reviewing technical materials

Responsibilities

• Support the FIPS 140-3 certification process for cryptographic modules
• Assist in building, testing, and maintaining RPM packages for various cryptographic libraries
• Collaborate with senior engineers and external labs to write and review technical documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with standards
• Work with AlmaLinux, CentOS Stream, or RHEL in a development and testing environment
• Contribute to the security engineering team by applying knowledge of cryptographic concepts, such as encryption, key exchange, and hashing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with debugging tools (e.g., GDB, VS Code)
• Familiarity with OpenSSL, NSS, Libgcrypt, GnuTLS
• Cybersecurity certification (e.g., ISC2, CompTIA)
