Join MentorMate as a Data Architect and design big data solutions that align with business objectives. You will create robust database back-ends and web services, collaborating closely with the development team to develop conceptual data models and data flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL)
- Hands-on designing highly scalable ETL processes or data ingestion pipelines
- In-depth knowledge of any of the popular database and data warehouse technologies from SQL & NoSQL realm β AWS Redshift, AWS DynamoDB, Oracle, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc
- Familiarity in database design, modeling, data mart, data warehouse architecture, and data lake
- Expertise in database query execution and optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design and testing techniques
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies and concepts
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and architect big data solutions to support business needs
- Design and architect database back-end as well as web services to interface with external applications
- Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows
- Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system
- Implement data strategies and develop physical data models
- Work with the latest development and server technologies from Microsoft, Amazon, and Apache
- Review and analyze business requirements and provide a technical perspective on approach, risk, and estimated development time
- Communicate day-to-day with client team members, expert personnel, and subject matter experts
- Participate in rapid, prototype-based design sessions
- Troubleshoot and optimize data systems
