Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or other related roles
  • 3+ years of experience with ETL, data modeling, and data architecture
  • Strong experience in generating data pipelines from multiple data sources, in collaboration with diverse team members
  • Experience in operating very large data warehouses or data lakes
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including query optimization, version control, code reviews, and documentation
  • Experience with building data pipelines and applications to stream and process large datasets at low latencies
  • Ability and desire to learn new languages and technologies
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data pipelines for multiple analytics functions
  • Align architecture with business requirements
  • Analyze, re-architect, and re-platform data warehouses
  • Data acquisition
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling as well as for classic BI analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the following: SQL/ Python, ETL tools like Airflow, Talend, Matillion, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, AWS/ Azure/ OCI, Big Data technologies such as Hadoop/Databricks/Spark/EMR, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, DynamoDB
  • Certification of SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL

About the role

As a Data Engineer, your primary goal will be to offer non-standard solutions and unlock the potential of our clients. Through expert-level data management and analysis, the DCoE team facilitates resource management, database migration to new engine types, data unification, and company mergers. SQL reports optimization, Business Intelligence reports, and troubleshooting of data flows are another significant part of our day-to-day responsibilities.

About the team

The SQL, Python, Oracle, AWS, and Azure-certified members of our Data Center of Excellence (DCoE) team primarily work on enterprise-scale projects, including AI and ML solutions across various industries and applications. Involved in all stages of processing, migrating, and preparing data from/to public cloud providers, the team applies expert skills in data architecture, big data management, business intelligence, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data automation, and database optimization.
