Requirements
- Masterβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. A PhD is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in data science, ideally within healthcare or a related field
- Proven experience building machine learning models, particularly for process mining, anomaly detection, or optimization
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using data science libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Experience with process mining tools and techniques is a strong plus
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and query optimization
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) to present findings effectively
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from healthcare revenue cycle processes to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Build and refine machine learning models for process mining, workflow optimization, and recommendations
- Develop algorithms to detect workflow bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and deviations from the optimal process path
- Calculate metrics and KPI's to quantify process efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and product managers to integrate data science solutions into the product
- Work with domain experts in healthcare revenue cycle management to understand business requirements and data sources
- Translate healthcare RCM business problems into analytical frameworks
- Validate and optimize models to ensure they deliver accurate insights and actionable recommendations for users
- Conduct A/B testing and model validation techniques to measure model performance in real-world conditions
- Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Present and explain complex models and data-driven solutions to stakeholders in product development and healthcare operations
- Stay current with the latest trends in machine learning, AI, and healthcare technology, and bring innovative ideas to the team
- Experiment with new data science techniques to improve the product's process intelligence and automation capabilities
