Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct user research studies tailored to desktop applications and browser extensions, using various methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, remote desktop observation)
  • Plan and execute A/B tests for desktop products in collaboration with product and development teams
  • Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to derive actionable insights for desktop user experiences
  • Collaborate with the BIA team to integrate user research findings with desktop analytics data
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, user needs, and competitive landscapes in the desktop and browser extension markets
  • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, focusing on desktop-specific insights
  • Develop and maintain research protocols and best practices for desktop and cross-platform research
  • Contribute to the product development process by providing user-centric insights for desktop environments
  • Stay updated on UX research trends and emerging methodologies, particularly those relevant to desktop and browser extension experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-platform research (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design for desktop environments
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) for creating desktop research stimuli
  • Understanding of accessibility considerations in desktop user research
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) for large-scale desktop user data
  • Experience conducting research on browser behavior and extension usage patterns

Benefits

  • Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $1,800 - $2,200 per month, depending on seniority and skillset
  • This position includes a 3-month trial period, with the possibility of extension to a long-term
  • This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform
