Remote Engineering Manager

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams of engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment, preferably in fintech
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in SaaS, fintech or payments technologies companies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong technical expertise in backend development, cloud infrastructures, and distributed systems
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and deliver results in a timely manner across multiple countries and markets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and modern development methodologies, particularly in cloud-based environments
• Experience working with distributed teams, promoting a culture of inclusivity and belonging in a remote setup
• A passion for mentoring, coaching, and fostering the growth of your team members

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them achieve their professional goals and foster innovation
• Proactively support the engineering team to deliver incremental value by hands-on contribution
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive and actionable feedback, and cultivate a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define pragmatic solutions to meet the immediate needs of the business
• Strong and effective communication with ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Drive technical and operational excellence by managing features from concept to completion, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Contribute to the strategic direction of engineering efforts and align technology with business goals
