Remote High School Teacher, Adjunct (Substitute)

Requirements

• Experience at the secondary or postsecondary level required for High School Candidates
• Subject areas for Humanities: Experience in 2 or more of the following areas is highly desirable (US History and World History, Philosophy, Economics, Government, English Language Arts)
• Subject areas for STEM: Experience in 2 or more of the following areas is desirable (Algebra I through Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Science)
• Experience with coding or robotics preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead learning experiences in keeping with Sora's mission and vision
• Provide formative and summative feedback to students
• Manage the virtual classroom to ensure a positive and consistent learning environment
• Convene house meetings as scheduled
• Participate in faculty meetings as requested by school leadership

Benefits

• Paid training sessions provided for selected candidates to prepare them for the work
• $30 per hour pay
