Let’s start with the role

Back in 2021 we aimed to reform our team and to double the team in numbers, and we achieved it, the scope for 2024 is still to have focus on our craft and to make Kaizen a “Mobile First” company.

Our mobile team consists of 17+ iOS Engineers and 18 Android Engineers, while they also get super covered by Software Engineers in Test for the quality perspective. Our Engineers work either in our Mobile Infrastructure team or they contribute directly to our cross-functional feature squads.

Our mobile applications are used by millions of people across many countries and continents. We use Swift/Kotlin to create a quality codebase and we heavily invest in covering our codebase with tests on all levels. We desire to improve our technical practices and move to the next technical level.

Tech Stack: Swift, Alamofire, SwiftUI components, Modular architecture, GitLab for source code management, Bitrise for CI/CD, XCTest Unit Testing, XCUITest UI Testing, MVC to MVP, SwiftLint, Structured Concurrency, Firebase, Figma for designs, Transifex for localization

Supportive Stack/Processes: Scrum/Kanban, Jira / Confluence, Firebase / Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager, Pair programming, Unit testing, GitFlow, Code Reviews

Being part of the feature squads, you will:

• Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release while architecting and building solutions that can scale to support millions of users.
• See the big picture and identify inefficiencies and opportunities for meaningful improvements.
• Raise the bar to make Kaizen iOS engineering truly the best-in-class by improving best practices, producing exemplary code, documentation, automated tests, and thorough and precise monitoring.
• Conduct thorough testing, identify and address performance bottlenecks, and optimize application performance.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Expertise in Swift programming language.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of the iOS platform.
• Extensive experience with code testing methodologies, such as unit testing and integration testing.
• Proficient in version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
