Requirements

• A versatile engineer with a strong foundation in semantic search, OpenSearch, and Python
• Proficiency in machine learning, particularly with AWS tools, to elevate data retrieval and analysis capabilities
• Experience in AWS services and infrastructure, including Lambda, CloudFormation, and the AWS ecosystem
• Adept at independent work, yet enthusiastic about cross-functional collaboration
• Capable of managing small teams (0-3 individuals) and driving projects to meet client expectations

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end systems to support large-scale data processing and enhance our platform's functionality
• Deploy and manage OpenSearch clusters, with specialized attention to a complex, multi-node environment containing over a terabyte of data
• Drive advancements in semantic search, implementing machine learning models on AWS SageMaker and integrating them seamlessly into our systems
• Design and optimize data workflows, leveraging foundational knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and Python programming
• Create and manage cloud-based infrastructure using CloudFormation, Lambda, and other components of the AWS ecosystem
• Write unit tests and ensure code quality to enhance reliability and maintainability across the team
• Participate in client-facing sprints and requirement reviews, collaborating actively with PMs, Designers, and Developers
• Communicate frequently with clients to address needs, manage expectations, and provide technical insights
