  • Core Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Sciences discipline
  • Technical, lab-based microbiology background with at least three years of lab and/or applications experience in GMP pharmaceutical environment
  • Three years or more work experience in sales of microbiology analytical instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Direct selling of Sievers endotoxin and bioburden detection technology solutions (instruments, consumables, and services) in the West region
  • Meet or exceed revenue and bookings targets in assigned territory with the goal of growing the business year on year
  • Ability to demonstrate and present Sievers Eclipse and Soleil platforms at customer sites
  • Organize sales appointments using existing databases and/or cold calling and prospecting for new contacts (call lists, online research, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Manage and keep up to date all contacts, accounts, opportunities and sales information in Salesforce CRM
  • Understand and manage the sales funnel to meet short and long term sales objectives including prospecting, positioning and demonstrating the solutions, quoting and closing sales as won or lost, with reason for each outcome
  • Provide business with accurate forecasts and metrics monthly to assess performance
  • Develop positive relationships with clients
  • Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and bring awareness to local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territory
  • Have a technical understanding of our competitors’ products and sales distribution
