Responsibilities

  • Manage shipments from booking at origin through to door delivery
  • Prepare and review import and/or export ocean documentation (SLI, duties, taxes, HTS/ classification B, etc.), Customs and FMC/NRA filings when necessary
  • Track and update order and shipment status
  • Communicate with vendors, service providers, carriers, etc. to collect/confirm costs
  • Determine optimal and cost-effective shipping methods and prepare quotations/proposals
  • Analyze opportunities to reduce transportation time and costs by negotiating with carriers, agents, or customers
  • Generate and send invoices to customers, monitor customer receivables and payment terms in a timely manner
  • Provide customer service by phone and email. Assist customers, overseas colleagues, service providers, partners, and others with their inquiries
  • Monitor shipments as well as resolve billing issues, shipping discrepancy disputes, damage/ lost cargo claims

At this point, Zelh is looking for an Air Export Operations Specialist for the US logistics company.

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Air Export Operations professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in handling air export shipments from start to finish, including quoting, pickup, communication with US clients, booking agents, and overseas agents, as well as billing and follow-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage shipments from booking at origin through to door delivery.
  • Prepare and review import and/or export ocean documentation (SLI, duties, taxes, HTS/

Working conditions:

  • Work schedule: Monday-Friday – 8 am - 5 pm EST
