Remote Online Tutor - MSc Data Science/Analytics

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of a MSc or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a similar area
• Have experience of teaching and assessing at degree level
• Have the ability to teach across a range of topics specifically calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, as most modules rely on these concepts
• Have the specific skills required to deliver programming skills (specifically Python) as some modules will use this language in their delivery
• Have high standards and with demonstrable impact on students’ learning
• Be motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
• Be a passionate and excellent, clear communicator
• Have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence
• Be proactive and organised
• Thrive in a remote working environment

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team
• Facilitate activities that engage and support student learning
• Undertake assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines
