Summary
Join Encora as a Software Performance Engineer and contribute to ensuring our software meets and exceeds performance standards. This full-time, work-from-home position requires at least 6 years of software development experience with a focus on high-performance applications. You will design and implement automated performance tests, analyze data to identify performance issues, and collaborate on software improvements. Experience with automated testing and Agile methodologies is essential. Additional experience with Python, Typescript, JavaScript, large-scale distributed systems, and AWS is preferred.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as software developer
- Experience working in high performance applications or services
- An interest in optimizing and evaluating software from a non-functional point of view
- Experience writing automated tests and measuring performance of software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., JIRA) and processes
- Able to execute within a distributed software development team
Responsibilities
- Ensure that software is meeting or exceeding performance standards
- Design and implement automated performance tests
- Analyze data to identify performance issues
- Author or consult on software changes to improve performance
- Work in other non-functional areas such as scaling and resiliency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Python, Typescript, JavaScript or other programming language
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with AWS cloud solutions
- Experience with automated test tools
- Experience with data analytics and monitoring systems
