Remote Performance Software Developer

Summary

Join our team at Encora as a Performance Engineer to design and implement automated performance tests, analyze data to identify performance issues, and ensure software meets performance standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as software developer
• Experience working in high performance applications or services
• An interest in optimizing and evaluating software from a non-functional point of view
• Experience writing automated tests and measuring performance of software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., JIRA) and processes
• Able to execute within a distributed software development team

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible is to ensure that software is meeting or exceeding performance standards
• Designing and implementing automated performance tests
• Analyzing data to identify performance issues
• Authoring or consulting on software changes to improve performance
• Similarly work in other non-functional areas such as scaling and resiliency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Python, Typescript, JavaScript or other programming language
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with AWS cloud solutions
• Experience with automated test tools
• Experience with data analytics and monitoring systems
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, Windows
