Principal Software Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's Partners Experience team as a Software Engineer to build and scale experience capabilities for AI site creation and optimization. You will work on an AI-powered site designer and optimization engine, improving user interfaces, maintaining application stacks, and enhancing team processes. This remote position requires proficiency in at least one technology (PHP, NodeJS, React, Java), 6+ years of software development experience, and AWS knowledge. You'll lead by example with high coding standards and collaborate with engineers and partners. Requirements

• Proficient in at least one of the technologies: PHP, NodeJS (Typescript), React, Java, and willing to work across technologies
• 6+ years of demonstrated ability in software development
• Working with AWS and understanding how to deploy applications to cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of building fault-tolerant systems (observability practices, operational perfection
• Working with high traffic systems that are mission critical to business
• Exposure to containerisation using technologies such as Docker or AWS ECS
• Good understanding of agile principles

Responsibilities

• Work with product management team improving the user interface and workflows within the application and providing new capabilities
• Maintain the existing application stack that makes up AI site designer, AI site optimizer, and onboarding products
• Help improve processes within the team to work with more agility
• Improve the observability of our production services, allowing the team to quickly highlight gaps, resolve issues, and understand the performance of our systems
• Lead by example with a high standard for coding practices, including practical coding standards, modern software development approaches, test automation, and a strong focus on security
• Engage with engineers and partners across the organization to solve problems with broad impact, stay ahead of the curve with new technologies, and advocate for modern and effective tech stacks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI prompt scaling and optimization
• Experience with multiple JavaScript tooling libraries, like XState, WebPack etc
• Experience with BFF (backend for frontend)
• Knowledge of principles for high-performance design, concurrency and threading
• Attitude of experimentation: solve new challenges' step by step to meet customer needs
