Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar capacity, ideally within a government contracting environment, particularly USAID
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices, proficiency with HR software and systems, and familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations
- Previously worked as a contractor or direct hire at USAID
- Experience hiring, managing or working with PSCs
- Strong understanding of employment law and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting initial interviews
- Facilitate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance on company policies, benefits, and workplace concerns, and supporting conflict resolution processes
- Assist in implementing and managing performance review processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, performance improvement plans, and career development
- Support benefits enrollment and administration processes, ensuring accurate data entry and communication with employees regarding benefits offerings and changes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, including maintaining employee records and completing necessary documentation for government contracts
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with government contract requirements and best practices in human resources
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics related to staffing, turnover, employee engagement, and other key performance indicators
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM- Certified
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and familiarity with DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) initiatives
