Remote Public Relations Assistant Account Executive - Financial Services PR

Join our leading industry financial services public relations department as a Public Relations Assistant Account Executive. We're seeking qualified metro DC area public relations candidates with previous agency-based experience in the corporate and financial services sector.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, or journalism
• Prior work experience or PR internships in public relations role (PR agency-based client-based experience is strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with public relations/communications programs as evidenced through completed college coursework, internships, or related work experience
• Interest and desire to work in public relations with corporate and financial services B2B and B2C clients
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and writing skills

Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive, targeted media lists, actively pitch media and secure earned media coverage
• Write, proof and edit client-related documents including pitches, press materials, news releases, other editorial content
• Supporting client media briefings, events, speaking opportunities and developing award submissions
• Monitor, track and report earned, owned and social media coverage of client news and competitor developments
• Research industry or program-relevant topics efficiently
• Participating in client meetings, develop agendas, managing trackers and drafting meeting reports
