Summary

Join Color Health, a revolutionary virtual cancer clinic, and make a significant impact on cancer care. As a Registered Dietitian, you will provide nutritional counseling to patients undergoing cancer treatment and survivors, assessing their needs and creating tailored education plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate nutritional interventions into patient care plans. This part-time contract role requires a friendly, empathetic approach and strong clinical skills. The ideal candidate will possess an accredited degree, RD/RDN certification, and ideally, CSO board certification. Experience in oncology and telehealth settings is preferred. The hourly rate ranges from $30-50/hr, with potential for bonuses, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

  • A friendly, empathetic, compassionate Registered Dietitian who is passionate about improving the lives of those undergoing cancer treatment and survivors
  • Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised internship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Responsibilities

  • Assess the nutritional needs and goals of patients undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors
  • Counsel on each patient’s evolving nutritional needs during and after treatment
  • Provide recommendations for nutritional interventions based on each patient’s unique cancer history and health goals, including information about potential nutritional and dietary supplements during cancer treatment
  • Develop clinical protocols related to nutritional assessment and counseling
  • Provide diet-related education to patients and share educational resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO)
  • 2 years experience working as a Registered Dietitian in an Oncology setting
  • Experience working in a Telehealth setting
  • Strong preference for multiple state licenses
  • Strong clinical skills, and high bar for experience and quality of care
  • Team-focused; effective collaborator within the care team
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a focus on empathy and active listening
  • High ethical standards of behavior
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Comfort with technology, including video chatting, electronic health records, and other telehealth tools
