Remote Senior Datawarehouse QA Lead

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Datawarehouse QA lead to ensure the quality and accuracy of data in our data warehouse systems. In this role, you will lead a team of QA analysts, collaborate with data engineers and analysts, implement best practices for data testing and validation, and analyze test results to provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA with at least 3 years in a data warehousing environment
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell
• Experience with data quality tools and frameworks like Talend, Informatica, or similar
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA processes for our data warehouse projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate ETL processes, data integrity, and data quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts, to define and implement QA strategies
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies through root cause analysis and proactive measures
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data warehousing and QA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics)
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
• Experience with Databricks is beneficial
