Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) and become a mentor for quality and automation across Agile teams. You will ensure high-quality standards for web, mobile, and service-based applications by using automated test tools and techniques. Responsibilities include collaborating with developers and product managers, identifying and mitigating risks to product quality, increasing test coverage, contributing to automation frameworks, and executing various tests. You will also evangelize best practices and address testability concerns. This full-time, work-from-home position requires 6+ years of QA experience and 4+ years of hands-on coding experience with test automation. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is also required.

Requirements

  • At least 6+ YOE in QA related positions
  • 4+ years of hands-on coding experience with test automation
  • Great hands-on coding experience with Javascript/Typescript and/or Java/Groovy and/or Python languages
  • Ability to be a strong proponent of automated testing, and to identify what tests should be automated, and at what level
  • Capability to train your colleagues on technical aspects
  • Ability to create well-structured and efficient test plans
  • Ability to gain others' support for ideas, proposals and solutions in order to advance work objectives
  • A hands-on approach and ability to deliver on commitments
  • Confidence working in a high-paced and technical-driven environment
  • Experience working as part of Agile teams
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent training or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as an integrated member of Agile teams
  • Work in close collaboration with developers and product managers to ensure common understanding of functionalities under development and how to test them
  • Be an active stakeholder extremely early in all project planning activities and Agile ceremonies (scoping, technical design review, high-level estimations, sequencing, grooming, sprint planning, demos, …)
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate any risk to product quality
  • Increase API and UI test coverage based on product requirements of existing and new features
  • Be a principal contributor to the development and evolution of automation frameworks
  • Design, build and maintain test tools and test services
  • Help with the analysis, debugging and stabilization of daily automated test suites results
  • Execute automated, manual and exploratory regression tests for the periodical release of our applications
  • Evangelize best practices and processes related to quality
  • Raise and address any product testability concern

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have played a major role in building an automated test framework
  • You have developed service-level automation, like API, system, and integration tests
  • You have used the Playwright library for UI tests
  • You are proficient with TypeScript and/or Scala
  • You are familiar with the Gatling load test tool
  • You have experience in the airline industry and familiarity with travel technology
