Summary

Join Fullstory's Digital Experience Analytics (DXA) team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in empowering customers by delivering valuable insights into their digital interactions. This remote position requires collaboration with teammates to scale Fullstory's flagship application, engineer high-volume systems, maintain production environments, and assist other teams. You will work closely with design, product, and customer teams to develop innovative solutions. Success in this role demands a product-focused mindset, strong customer centricity, and a high level of ownership. You will contribute to strategic planning and lead key projects, becoming a go-to expert in a specific system area.

Requirements

  • Be proficient in structuring data and APIs effectively to enable capabilities across multiple services
  • Have experience driving consensus on large, complex architectural changes through clear communication and technical writing
  • Have experience writing production code in one or more of the following back end languages: Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript (and possess an ability to pick up new ones)
  • Have experience building web systems at scale using React, Typescript, or similar front end technologies
  • Have experience supporting highly available and reliable cloud-based microservices, and familiarity with technologies similar to Kubernetes, gRPC, Solr (document search databases), BigQuery/Redshift, BigTable/Cassandra/DynamoDB

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teammates to craft the strategy and execution for scaling Fullstoryโ€™s flagship application
  • Engineer systems that operate at hundreds of thousands of requests per second
  • Maintain and troubleshoot parts of Fullstoryโ€™s production environment
  • Provide assistance to other teams in order to build impressive capabilities
  • Work closely with design and product counterparts to propose new solutions for customer pain points
  • Work closely with customers through our co-creation process, collaborating to craft purpose-built solutions that meet their unique needs and drive exceptional value
  • Develop an understanding of your teams core service areas and deliver on intra-team projects with minimal oversight
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the productโ€™s roadmap by providing technical insights, identifying upcoming trends or technologies that could impact the product, and proposing innovative solutions to meet future challenges
  • Successfully lead the development and launch of a key project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. This may involve innovating a solution to a long-standing problem or creating a new feature that significantly improves user experience
