In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, educate and support teams on QA best practices and work closely with our engineers to ensure we can deploy our code with a high degree of confidence.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of test automation experience using Selenium and Java. Experience in leading an automation team is a bonus
  • At least 2 years of working experience in Rest Assured API Automation
  • Good to have knowledge of Salesforce platform
  • Strong knowledge of OOP Concepts
  • Strong experience in Web UI/API test automation and frameworks such as Selenium, Rest-Assured, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket
  • Design and Develop Test Automation scripts and frameworks for web applications
  • Excellent understanding of software engineering, test methodologies and automation tools
  • Working experience in Agile Methodologies
  • Background experience in manual testing, test organization, test execution and reporting
  • Understanding CI/CD processes and tools
  • Strong communication skills are a must. Effective communication & ability to summarize and explain technical concepts to both specialists and non-specialists

  • Mentor and guide subordinates, providing constructive feedback and expert support
  • Work with the team to automate tasks and increase the quality threshold with innovative ideas and creative problem-solving
  • Strive to better yourself and your team by creating and iterating on existing automation infrastructure and processes
  • Identify testing capability requirements gaps in existing capabilities, conducting R&D, carry out POCs, and support them through business case approvals
  • Define and implement test strategies across multiple projects and teams
  • Suggest ways to improve our products, refining existing approaches and suggesting new ones where appropriate
  • Take initiative and work in a collaborative environment, ensuring you maintain open lines of communication with other team members
  • Evangelize Continuous Testing framework (capabilities and practices) and enforce standards
  • Collaborate with peers to share knowledge, celebrate successes, and contribute to the overall culture

Loopio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) with 7-10 years of experience to join our growing team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, educate and support teams on QA best practices and work closely with our engineers to ensure we can deploy our code with a high degree of confidence. As the SDET, you will empower our mission teams to focus on building great software and leverage automation testing so the teams can iterate faster and get new software in our customers’ hands quickly.

Work Hours: This role requires close collaboration with teams across Canada, the UK, and India. To accommodate the time zone differences, you will be expected to work from 11 am - 7:30 pm IST.

What You’ll Be Doing

Where You’ll Work

  • Loopio is based in Canada with hub regions around the world. Right now, our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Toronto, Vancouver, and London (UK).
  • Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. Our India hub employees live and work remotely within Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru and work 11am - 7:30pm IST unless otherwise stated.
  • You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across India, UK and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) and have established core sync hours and focus time during the workday to enable us to work smarter together.
