Remote Senior Software Engineer, Threat Services

Join our WatchTower Engineering team as a Software Engineer to contribute to creating new tools and services, improving existing solutions, and driving team success.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Python Engineer, especially in writing performant and scalable FastAPI applications, bonus points for proficiency in Celery
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Understanding user requirements and leading the solution delivery, along with attention to details
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to creating new tools and services, as well as improving existing solutions
• Help build the next-generation threat-hunting tools using modern technologies such as Python (FastAPI, Celery), Redis, Docker, Kubernetes and Rust
• Design for scalability, security, and reliability across a global environment
• Help identify areas for proactive improvement based on team findings
• Be involved in the whole SW development process - from product discovery, through designing architecture, implementation and testing to delivery to production and subsequent monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
• Communication and organization in distributed teams
• Experience with Rust, especially building statically linked native cross-platform CLI tools
• Familiar with security products and frameworks, especially YARA and Sigma rules
