Remote Senior Telecommunication Engineer, Signaling Support & Integration

Summary

Join MentorMate as a Senior Telecommunication Engineer and oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, software deployment, configuration, migration, testing, and troubleshooting. Work closely with customers to ensure planning and timing, address potential issues, and foresee traffic impacts. Create and present Method of Procedure (MoP) documents to provide a clear vision of upcoming events.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer sciences, IT, Telecommunications or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in operation of mobile or fixed networks as an engineer
• Familiar with Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards
• Knowledge of 2g,3g,4g networks setups and core components, interfaces, and connectivity
• Good knowledge about the SS7/Sigtran, LTE, signaling call flows and roaming scenarios
• Working knowledge in designing, deploying, migrating and/or operating network infrastructure
• Experience with TCP/IP network fundamentals
• Experience with Signaling protocol monitoring tools, protocol analysers, trace analysis
• Good operational knowledge of network function virtualization
• Experience in working and administration of Linux systems
• Readiness to travel, and able to work independently
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, software deployment, configuration, migration, testing, and troubleshooting

• Create and present Method of Procedure (MoP) documents to provide a clear vision of upcoming events
• Software and signaling configuration testing before installations or traffic migrations
• Drive customer-side activities in coordination with end MNO representatives
• Guide MNO engineers on best practices for maintaining and troubleshooting
