Remote Software Engineer, Backend

Summary

Join Vanta as a Software Engineer, Backend, and contribute to the company's growth by designing and building CI and build systems, modernizing testing tooling, and working on scalability problems. As a key member of the team, you will support design reviews, communicate constraints, and pave the path for new critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of industry experience
• Have experience with infrastructure challenges related to scale, reliability, and performance
• Have previous startup experience, or worked in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action
• Have previous experience working on greenfield projects
• Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space

Responsibilities

• Design and build CI and build systems to ensure Vanta engineers are building robust product quickly
• Modernize our testing tooling and tighten iteration loops in the developer experience
• Work on upcoming scalability problems related to our build system, developer workflows / experience, and key infrastructure and services
• Support design reviews and communicate constraints to ensure we are making the right trade-offs
• Pave the path for new critical infrastructure, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth
• Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve their security and prove it
