Summary

Join Cloudflare's Magic Platform team as a software engineer to design and develop distributed edge services and monitoring, leveraging Go for control plane services and Linux netfilter for dataplane.

Requirements

• Expertise with Linux networking internals
• Understanding of L2, L3 networking and routing protocols
• Userspace networking
• Complex nft and iptables rules
• Writing code for massively parallelized distributed systems
• Experience with various load balancing strategies -- and the knowledge to know which is best for different circumstances
• Systems-level programming experience, especially in Go
• BPF
• Strong ability to debug issues in complex systems
• Own solutions end-to-end and driving the design, development, and deployment process
• Able to work across teams and level common, sustainable solutions
• Creative, empathetic, open-minded, collaborative problem solver
• Focus on clarity in written and verbal communication
