Remote Software Engineer (SDE II)

As a software engineer, you'll work on building a platform that enables customers to find, buy, or lease their dream car, while also working on complex problems and scaling products.

Requirements

• Have around 2 years or more experience in software development
• Have good knowledge in Ruby, both pure and with frameworks (e.g. Ruby on Rails)
• Bring experience in a TDD environment
• Love the idea of working on event-based systems, e.g. Kafka
• Be able to use Git or another version control system safely
• Be self-motivated and take responsibility for product results by doing everything necessary to achieve your goal
• Work gladly in distributed teams and functionally overlapping with Product Managers, Designers, User Researchers, and other developers
• Write code that can be maintained – with good documentation, tests, and structure

Responsibilities

• Work in functionally overlapping product teams with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Data Analysts
• Develop features with the team, review code, coach engineers, ensure 'Operative Excellence', and share knowledge with the entire Engineering Organization
• Work on building a platform that defines the future of car buying
