Summary
Join Twilio Segment’s Product team as our next Staff Product Manager. You will lead by example, building high-impact products and driving the product vision and roadmap. Responsibilities include crafting product strategy regarding global data compliance, owning GDPR-user-deletion functionality, collaborating with stakeholders, driving strategic direction, unlocking privacy-sensitive products for monetization, ensuring product development stays on track, conducting market analysis, and engaging with key customers. The role requires 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in data compliance, along with strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. Requirements
- Experience & Background: 8+ years of product management and/or experience managing complex technical products preferably in the data compliance and governance space
- Curiosity: Understanding and curiosity around the evolving customer data landscape and various regulations and technologies
- Congeniality: Experience brainstorming vague ideas and turning them into concrete specs working with engineering and design teams
- Clarity: Excellent written and communication skills
- Adaptability: Good at dealing with ambiguity and clearly synthesizing actionable next steps
Responsibilities
- Craft Twilio Segment’s product strategy with regards to changing global data compliance & privacy landscapes (EU GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA etc)
- Own our existing GDPR-user-deletion functionality & end to end data management efforts along with driving Segment’s data retention strategy
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the product development cycle to align, build and deliver the right privacy & compliance primitives
- Drive the strategic direction and coordinate efforts around new opportunities for the platform, including strategic cross team infra cost savings efforts
- Unlock key privacy and compliance-sensitive products and features to drive monetization opportunities for large enterprise customers
- Take a hands-on approach to ensure product development stays on track, removing obstacles and addressing issues as they arise
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, stay ahead of competitors, and ensure Twilio’s products remain competitive and cutting-edge
- Engage with key customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and translate these insights into actionable product improvements
