Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant workplace experience
- Beauty industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with Netsuite
- Experience building and maintaining ongoing vendor relationships (contract manufacturers)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; Excel, Powerpoint and Word and GSuite
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills and ability to operate efficiently and multi-task
- Self-starter, proven ability to βget-the-job-done,β with the ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapt to change in priorities
- Strong writing skills with ability to communicate points-of-view succinctly, thoroughly, and convincingly
- Experience working as part of a team and working well with others
Responsibilities
- Works cross functionally with Retail Operations, Product Development, Subcontracting Planning, and Marketing teams
- Maintain relationships with the corresponding supplier contacts. Have weekly phone calls, visit facilities, set up standards as they relate to specifications, production scheduling, shipping and sample retains
- Work with the internal team and vendors to implement process improvement
- Place and execute purchase orders as specified by the production plan to support the sales forecast. This includes working with the Planning team to production plan, review and confirm final buys
- Manage inventory/stock of components and perform monthly inventory Recs
- New product set up and maintenance (with suppliers) including (but not limited to), BOMs, production files, product specs and artwork
- Work with AP team on open receivable/payable discrepancies
- Help with QC issues and work with the suppliers on known production/quality issues and resolutions
- Tracking of all components, from the time they are purchased until they reach their destination, to ensure delivery meets the vendor production lead time. Maintain component production tracker with item/order/delivery changes or updates, communicate internally about any deviations
- Communicate with freight companies to gain insight on the best mode of transportation to meet deadlines, help with customs clearance in advance, and follow up until units are delivered to the required destination
- Track supplier performance and run monthly scorecard review meetings to improve processes and performance for both parties
- Using the Netsuite system to complete daily transactions and receipts. This includes but is not limited to: receiving in completed produced units, transfer orders, closing of production orders, maintaining correct supplier inventory
- Get to know, refine and ultimately lead the branded merchandise process with relevant marketing/PR teams to source, project manage and execute the support of requested branded merch. Includes working with additional suppliers that specialize in the branded merchandise space
