Requirements

  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; attention to detail is required
  • Experience with using and translating data to communicate program successes and impact
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review surveys, forms, and other data collection activities to ensure content and format is appropriate to promote clarity and responsiveness
  • Conduct evaluation activities developed by the operations team, including the development of effective data collection, monitoring, and reporting systems
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to develop and execute evaluation projects
  • Identify program needs based on data collected and analyzed
  • Ensuring that all changes in programs are well documented
  • Work closely with the research and evaluation team to provide outcome reporting ย for proposal writing and author text for evaluation plans
  • Design research presentations and reports for key stakeholders
  • Conduct and analyze interviews with volunteer coaches and leadership

Job Description

Passion for Life is seeking a Program Evaluator Intern to contribute methodology, evaluation plans, and data analysis skills to the development team. As a member of the research & evaluation team, you will be responsible for designing the measurement of the impact and behavioral changes in students that participate in Passion for Life, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing specific data collection instruments to evaluate program participants, programs such as pre/post-tests surveys, assessments, interview guides, and focus group protocols.
  • Develop and review surveys, forms, and other data collection activities to ensure content and format is appropriate to promote clarity and responsiveness.
  • Conduct evaluation activities developed by the operations team, including the development of effective data collection, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to develop and execute evaluation projects.

Qualifications

Education Requirement

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Business Management, Nonprofit Management, Research/Research development, Sociology, Psychology or related field
  • Must be classified as a Junior or Senior
  • Experience as a research assistant, a plus

Additional Information

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week.
