Summary

Join Vosyn, a leading Language Synthesis AI firm, as a Responsible AI Intern and contribute to the development and implementation of AI ethics policies and guidelines. This 3-month, remote internship (with hybrid options in Toronto) offers hands-on experience in designing ethical AI frameworks, assessing risks, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers. You will promote transparency and accountability in AI decision-making, educate internal teams on ethical AI principles, and conduct regular ethics audits. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in a relevant field (Ethics, Computer Science, etc.) and experience in AI ethics or policy development. Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s in Ethics, Computer Science, Data Science, Philosophy, or a related field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
• Master’s program enrollment or completion is mandatory
• Experience in AI ethics, policy development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of AI technologies
• Expertise in ethical frameworks, AI governance, and responsible AI practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex ethical challenges
• Excellent communication skills for translating ethical principles into actionable policies
• Familiarity with global AI regulations and industry standards (e.g., EU AI Act, IEEE Standards)
• Understanding of machine learning, data privacy, bias mitigation, and algorithmic transparency
• Passionate about ethical AI and committed to fostering innovation that prioritizes social good
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and guidelines to address key ethical challenges in AI development and deployment
• Identify and mitigate ethical risks in AI systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
• Partner with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that AI ethics principles are integrated into all stages of product development
• Promote transparency in AI algorithms and processes, ensuring explainability and accountability in AI decision-making
• Educate internal teams on ethical AI principles, providing training and resources to enhance awareness and understanding
• Stay informed about emerging trends, research, and regulatory developments in AI ethics to refine Vosyn’s practices
• Conduct regular audits to evaluate the ethical implications of AI products and recommend improvements
