Summary

Join Darkhive, LLC, a robotics company focused on public safety and defense, as an RF Engineer. You will assist in the design, simulation, and prototyping of RF circuits and subsystems. Conduct testing and characterization of RF performance, ensuring compliance with specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components into product designs. Support documentation, validation, and troubleshooting throughout the product development lifecycle. This is a full-time, remote role with up to 25% travel. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Engineering and Product Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, or similar study
  • 2-3 years of experience working with PCB layout, design schematics
  • 2-3 years of experience designing PCBs in Altium
  • Solid experience using hand tools and testing instruments
  • Ability to solder small hardware
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for periods of time
  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and other equipment with or without accommodations
  • Ability to maintain awareness during business hours
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and good command of the English language
  • Learns and memorizes routine tasks

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, simulation, and prototyping of RF circuits and subsystems, including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and wireless communication modules to support new product features and capabilities
  • Conduct testing and characterization of RF performance using tools such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, systems, and software engineers) to integrate RF and electrical components into product designs, identifying and resolving issues related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), signal integrity, and power management
  • Support documentation, validation, and troubleshooting activities throughout the product development lifecycle, including design reviews, test reports, and failure analysis to improve design robustness

Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. Military Veteran
  • An active security clearance (this is not a requirement for the position)
