Summary

Requirements

  • 6+ years in fraud, data science, modeling, or risk management
  • 3+ years in ETL development and data integration, with hands-on experience writing ETL code in Python
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in Elastic Stack administration (Elasticsearch and Kibana) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Advanced knowledge of Lucene and Python for querying and programming
  • Support experience in production environments, including troubleshooting and ticket management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights from complex datasets
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think creatively to address fraud challenges
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with stakeholders and present findings clearly
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fully remote setting

Responsibilities

  • Develop ETL Pipelines : Write advanced ETL code in Python to integrate and load data into Elasticsearch and other fraud applications, ensuring seamless data flow for risk analytics
  • Program Fraud Detection Tools : Utilize Lucene and Python to create sophisticated queries and procedures that identify and mitigate fraudulent activities across multiple channels
  • Conduct Threat Research : Analyze global fraud trends, detect anomalies, and map financial and criminal networks using proprietary tools and large datasets
  • Support Production Systems : Manage and troubleshoot Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch and Kibana) clusters, monitor support tickets, and resolve issues in a production environment
  • Deliver Actionable Insights : Transform complex data into high-quality intelligence products for decision-makers, providing strategic recommendations to internal teams and clients
  • Drive Innovation : Research emerging fraud prevention technologies and methodologies, and propose creative solutions to enhance risk intelligence capabilities
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Partner with Product, Enterprise Risk, Risk Services, and IT teams to align analytics solutions with business goals and provide thought leadership
  • Maintain Data Standards : Support risk intelligence data standards and recommend improvements to optimize current and future data needs

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI
