Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar discipline
- Experienced with C/C++ and Python
- 4+ years of experience with RPO and trajectory design
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and solve complex problems with first principles approaches
Responsibilities
- Perform mission design activities and trade studies of various trajectory algorithms and RPO approaches
- Develop and implement robust RPO, trajectory optimization, and optimal planning and scheduling algorithms in C++
- Perform statistical analysis (Monte Carlo, linear covariance analysis) to support maneuver planning and proximity operations
- Test and verify algorithms via software and hardware in the loop simulation
- Work with the Space Operations team to integrate RPO plans and support post-flight analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in aerospace engineering or similar discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience writing high-reliability, production C/C++ code
- Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following: trajectory optimization, planning and scheduling algorithms, astrodynamics, relative navigation
