Ruby on Rails and React Developer

Summary

Join Encora as a Mid Ruby on Rails and React Developer and contribute to the development of applications using various technologies and languages. Collaborate with the engineering team to shape, prototype, develop, and release new features. Work with cross-functional teams on architecture, integration, and maintenance of applications. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive software development experience, and proficiency in React and Ruby on Rails. Mentorship of less-experienced peers is also expected. The position is remote and available in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/Advanced English skills
• 4+ years of software development experience, preferably developing SaaS software
• 3+ years of experience with React and Ruby on Rails or related technologies
• Strong attention to detail
• First Principles thinker who is able to work with others to come up with pragmatic solutions
• Strong product instincts and ability to understand customers
• Ability to implement sustainable and flexible patterns that will help maintain an ever-evolving and growing product
• Strong dedication to code quality, automation and operational excellence
• Strong communication skills – Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you

Responsibilities

• Be a fundamental part of our software delivery cycle
• Work with Product and Design to craft efficient, performant, and delightful user experiences
• Contribute to our full stack web application, crafted with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Ruby on Rails, and React
• Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills
