Rust Engineer

Summary

Career Renew is recruiting a Rust Engineer to help architect and develop smart-contract infrastructure and tooling for their platform. The engineer will build open-source software in Rust, define APIs, primarily work on Github, and contribute to the design of a new smart-contract infrastructure. Candidates need a high-level understanding of blockchains, prior experience in web3, 2+ years with Rust as a primary language, 4+ years of software experience, strong architectural skills, ability to work independently, and an ownership mindset.

Requirements

• High-level understanding of how blockchains work (consensus, transactions, blocks, etc.) - prior experience in web3 mandatory
• Be able to work in UTC-7 to UTC+3 (PST to CET)
• 2+ years working with Rust as a primary development language
• 4+ years of software experience
• Strong architectural skills are required
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ownership mindset - you are opinionated, independent, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Build open-source software in Rust and contribute to the design of a new smart-contract infrastructure
• Define and build APIs for other developers to build dapps
• Primarily work on Github
