Summary
Join Snapsheet's growing team as a remote, full-time RV Appraiser! You will manage a high volume of claims for insurance carriers across the U.S. and Canada, acting as a subject matter expert in evaluating RV and trailer damage. This production-based role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and estimating skills. You will write accurate estimates, negotiate pricing with repair facilities, and meet productivity standards. A minimum of two years of RV or trailer damage estimating experience is required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience estimating RV or trailer damage (e.g. travel trailers, fifth wheels, horse trailers, utility trailers, or motorhomes)
- In-depth knowledge of trailer/RV structure, repair methods, parts sourcing, and configuration types
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, including total loss assessment and fraud indicators
- Skilled in one or more estimating platforms (CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, AdjustRite)
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, remote, production-based setting
- Receptive to coaching and driven to improve
Responsibilities
- Write fair and accurate estimates and supplements for RVs and trailers—including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, utility trailers, and horse trailers—based on photo documentation of physical damage
- Ensure compliance with carrier and state-specific guidelines
- Professionally negotiate pricing with repair facilities
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
- Adjust estimating approach based on trailer/RV type, carrier preferences, and QA feedback
- Implement guidance from auditors and leadership to drive continuous improvement
- Thoroughly document claims using internal tools and reliable external references
- Communicate effectively with shops, carriers, and customers
- Work independently while maintaining alignment with a remote team
Preferred Qualifications
- Broader auto/specialty estimating experience is a plus
- State appraiser or adjuster license (or willingness to get licensed—we’ll help!)
