Summary

Luxfer MEL Technologies is looking for a Sales Data Technician Apprentice to join their commercial team in either the Magnesium Alloys or Zirconium Chemicals arena. The apprentice will learn all aspects of the Sales process while conducting research and providing data analyst support. After successful completion of a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship, they will progress to a business-related Degree Apprenticeship. The role includes responsibilities such as conducting market research, generating reports, and supporting the monthly forecasting process.

Requirements

• GCSE Mathematics and English Language (grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Hard working and self-motivated, with a keen interest to learn and develop
• Superb time management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Professional interpersonal skills, and a team player with a committed, flexible and positive approach to work

Responsibilities

• To conduct research into and provide summary reports on specified markets, technologies & customers, utilising a range of data sources, e.g. internet, customer questionnaires & trade publications, in support of the Commercial team’s objectives
• To provide a sales analysis service to the Commercial team. Utilising data from our enterprise systems to provide regular monthly reports and satisfy ad-hoc requests. Data may be required in tabular, chart or other presentation formats
• To pro-actively monitor sales data identifying trends, patterns & anomalies
• Generating Power Bi reports
• Customer interaction after initial period of training
• Other ad-hoc Commercial support duties, as required
